Academic Festival 2017

Academic Festival, our annual signature homecoming event, showcases the full range of ideas and talents in our remarkable institution. For the past five years, this event has consistently attracted over 1000 alumni, faculty, staff and students - both newly admitted and current - and we fully expect that this year’s event will be just as enticing! Presented in unison, with Admitted Student Weekend, we take this opportunity to showcase the breadth and scope of Teachers College and our collective impact around the world. On Saturday, April 8, Teachers College will proudly present Academic Festival 2017: Making a World of Difference

On this occasion, we will also present the President's Medal of Excellence to alumna Phyllis L. Kossoff, as well as to our keynote speaker, Cynthia Bissett Germanotta, who Co-Founded, the Born This Way Foundation, with her daughter Lady Gaga to prevent bullying and empower young people to create a kinder world. We also honor our Distinguished Alumni at the Awards Luncheon. The work of TC students will also be front and center as we spotlight student research during the Student Research Poster Session, a co-sponsored effort with the Student Senate, during the Closing Networking Reception. We've also brought back The Hollingworth Center's TC Kids Camp for Academic Festival attendees' children in Kindergarten - 5th grade.

This special day truly offers something for everyone, and we encourage guests to take in as much they can! Academic Festival is a celebration for the entire TC Community and is open to all!

We encourage you to invite your peers, students and those individuals in your network who are passionate about learning and want to make a difference. To learn more about Academic Festival, take a look at last year's event recap here
